Since his youth, he has had a love for the 'Great Outdoors' and a keen appreciation for nature and its beauty. The strength of his paintings, which are mainly impressionist style, is depicted in the depth of colors he utilizes.
He uses several mediums , preferring clay and acrylics, believing that working in a single medium is restrictive to his artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style.
He utilizes impasto in many of his paintings to create 'depth' and a feeling of movement.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoys spending time in the marshes near his beloved Pecan Island camp, Marshview Lodge. Inspired by nature, he paints a varied spectrum of subjects.
